Groove Performing Arts in Larchmont is the home of Music for Aardvarks in Westchester. It's got a full schedule of kids activities from birth to elementary school, including music, drama and art. Owner/Director Lesley Barovick opened the store front up about 5 years ago after she noticed a dearth of original programming for kids in the area and today the fun, hip classes attract kids from all over Westchester and beyond. I brought my kids there when they were both 6 months old and we stayed in the class for years. We bought all the program's CD's and were faithful devotees to the class and to the music. We've even been groupies of the founder, David Weinstone's, current band at various venues in the city. Anyone looking for an original, smart, modern, city-esque experience for a child should come here.
